About the Portfolio:
Scishine.cn is Yupei Duan’s personal website. This Portfolio contains works from the course of Instruction to Digital Media taught by Prof. Xu at Missouri University. This blog post will be updated continually until the end of the 2020 Spring semester and it will be established to be an online course of teaching middle school and high school students to enjoy the learning of Science, English and Cartoon (I wish).
About me:
I am working as the director of curriculum development in a private K-12 school in China, Future Leadership Academy. At the same time, I am a graduate student in Information and learning Science School at University of Missouri. I am trying to keep learning after I graduated from college 13 years ago in which I believe is a very important factor and a basic need to be an educator and a 3-years-old girl’s father. China gained a great progress of education in the past two decades. More and more education companies were established and countless products were used more and more widely in schools. Digital media is a very traditional and powerful tool to empower the educators. From this page, you will witness the process of the skills and technologies are equipped with me step by step.

Here are your assignments:
1. Is word association not working for you? Try word disassociation. Get together with a friend or two and try coming up with a series of words that have nothing to do with each other. It’s harder than it sounds, and it can make for some interesting connections, because you’ll discover relationships between ideas you thought were entirely separate. 2. If your brain’s freezing up when you think about your assigned topic and you’ve tried all the ideas mentioned in the lecture, ask your teacher if it’s all right for you and a friend to brainstorm for each other’s topics, then give each other your lists of ideas.
